This
is how to measure your dog for the harnesses:
 |
Measure B (back)
To measure the back, start at the point of the arrow and measure
all the way over the dogs back to the same point on the oposite
side. The measure should not be taken directly behind his legs,
as the harness will then chafe his elbows as he walks. Therefor
the measurement needs to be 3-5 cm behind the elbow (where point
B and C meet).
Measure
C (chest)
This is the chest measure and again, it is from side to side but
this time around the chest area. You should measure where the chest
bone is protruding (it is a hard bone that sticks out just under
their throat). If the chest piece is lying below the chest bone
when he is walking, it will get in the way for his movement and
if it lies above it is no better than a collar.
The
harness on the picture to the left is a perfect fit to the dog -
just in the right place of his chest and far enough from his elbows
not to be uncomfortable for him.
